Why won't my hardware/drivers work in Windows 9x?

Any operating systems that predate Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition are not supported by Microsoft or any of its vendors. Today's new computers are not compatible with these operating systems. Newer technology as well as increases in performance have long surpassed the limits of the previous versions of Windows.

Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition is supported, however the First Edition will not have all the appropriate drivers available. If you are encountering this problem you should upgrade your operating system to one supported by the hardware you are running it on.
